Drummer Found!

We finally found the perfect drummer for our band! Please welcome Kyle Gore to our band! He's our very own Pickles(Dethklok) lol! He will be recording his drum tracks at Decibel Studios with us on the 2nd of December. We've jammed with the guy three times. Within the first two practices with him we got more accomplished than we have with our last drummer in 7 months. I told him we found a drummer who can play our music. I went over to his house and told him in person. I felt bad because he was a real genuine person and is totally cool. But I had to do what was necessary for the band's best interest. We went out to the studio on Sunday and jammed out with Kyle and our songs in full. I'm now singing for the band and playing guitar. I was originally just going to play guitar, song write and do back up vocals. But Jeff left the band and I didn't want to find another singer. We don't want to deal with any unnecessary egos. I dealt with a lead singer with a huge undeserved ego in my last band and learned from it and left before I wasted anymore time. So we'll finally have music out by the beginning of the year. And we're now on the hunt for a bass player!

Drummer can't play our music

So we've been recording and jamming with this one drummer. We've laid down all tracks except drums. The drummer hasn't been able to lay his tracks down at all. He can't play our music. I've been singing on the recordings since Jeff decided he'd rather do other things which is cool. You gotta do what makes you happy in life. No hard feelings whatsoever about it. So we're still looking for another drummer and a bass player. I'm hoping to get a drummer by the end of Oktober and a full line up by the end of the year.

New Single!

Since we're only in the studio once a week for a couple of hours at a time our progress on pumping out fully recorded songs has been kinda slow. Scott nailed his track for "Screams of Winter" this Sunday which was
bad ass! \m/ Hopefully the drummer can lay his tracks down for the song soon and then Jeff can lay his vocals down. Once everything is mixed and mastered we will be releasing our single "Screams of Winter" for free to everyone who *LIKES* our Facebook page!

Still in the Studio

We got everything for "Screams of Winter" done and we laid down a guitar track down for our new song "Last in Line". We rewrote Scott's solo for "Screams of Winter" so next time we'll record it! Scott's getting better at sweep picking. We weren't sure if Scott's car was going to make it that far this time. It was hotter than hell out! We weren't sure if his car would over heat. We got Slurpees from 7-11 on the way so we wouldn't have a heat stroke! We made another beer stop on our way! I mean the guy records us for free, the least we can do is buy the man a case of beer! \m/ The only thing we need for "S.O.W." is the drums and bass tracks laid down!
Oh yeah I did the vocals for that Doors cover "Alabama Song" he was surprised and said I sounded just like Jim. I'm glad I did it, I've always wanted to do a Doors cover and he nailed the music for it note for note! Can't wait to get a copy of it. I'll post a link of it along with our music and his! Studio time!

Scott and I went to Dennis' studio and laid down our tracks to our song Screams of Winter. Scott plays a B.C. Rich now since an accident happened to his Strat. His pick ups weren't putting out like they should so I raised them and positioned them so now they put out like Asian prostitutes! Dennis was surprised that we got most of our tracks laid down for the amount of time we were there. He showed us some of his stuff that he does. His original music kicks ass! He showed us a couple of covers he did by Rob Zombie, Led Zepplin and the Doors. Note for note nailed it instrumentally! We talked about me doing vocals for his Doors cover of Alabama Song! Really stoked since the Doors are my favorite band! We'll be there again next Sunday!

Songs, Recording, Progress

Well since I left my last band in March of 2011 I've basically been looking for a drummer. When I left I already had a singer and another guitar player. But I've been writing songs and networking with people in the meantime. I have 7 songs done, 3 of them with lyrics and I have 2 more songs that we're working on. We're suppose to go into Dennis Ferguson's studio next month (February).Check his music out. Dennis Ferguson ToCloseToEvil. I'm wanting to record at least 2 of our songs. I'm not sure if Jeff will sing or not. I've been working on singing in case I have have to for these demos. But at least once we do start playing live we'll have stuff set up. A little bit of a following, a nice set list, connections and venues to play at.

Drummers WTF!

I was talking to a drummer on my way back home the other night. I was air guitar practicing some sweep arpeggios. Even when I don't have a guitar in my hand I still practice in one way or another. He saw me moving my fingers and he asked me if I played guitar and I told him yes and that I was looking for a drummer. He lives across the street in another housing track. Hopefully this dude doesn't flake out too. Every drummer I've talked to about playing in my band has been nothing but a flake!
